Themes With Native Follow List Support
Sign in to Tumblr and click the gear-shaped button on the dashboard to access the account page. Select your Tumblr blog to which you want to add the follow list and click “Customize.” Click “Browse Themes” and select “Free Themes” from the drop-down list. Select a theme such as Redux, Fluid or Minimal that has native support for follow lists. To check if a theme supports follow lists, click the theme thumbnail and check the preview on the right. Click “Use” after you find an appropriate theme that supports follow lists. Scroll down the “Customize” list and check that the “Display following” or “Show People I Follow Widget” is enabled. Click “Save” and then click “Exit” to use the new theme that displays your follow list.
Themes Without Native Follow List Support
Sign in to your Tumblr and access your account settings page from the dashboard. Select the name of your Tumblr blog and then click “Customize” in the “Theme” section. Click “Edit HTML” to access the theme source code and then scroll to “Sidebar” section. Each Tumblr theme is different so the location and wording of the sidebar section might differ.
