Microsoft’s Visio lets you create flowcharts, maps and diagrams. As you create a Visio document, you can add text to the different process and decision points. However, you might find the available space in these shapes to be limited, especially if you have a complex diagram where space on the page is at a premium. One option is to create footnotes. While Visio does not include any automatic function to create a footnote, you can create one manually.
