Using iTunes

Open iTunes by clicking the “Finder,” selecting “Applications” and double-clicking the “iTunes” icon. Create a new playlist by clicking “File” and selecting “New Playlist.” Drag the DRM audio you would like to convert to MP3 with freeware into the new playlist that appears. Then click the playlist to highlight it and click “Burn Disc.” Confirm this action by clicking “Burn.” Then insert a blank CD-R into your computer for the DRM audio to be burned onto. Open the iTunes preferences menu when the burning process is complete. Then click the “Import Settings” button and choose “MP3 Encoder” from the menu that appears. Click “OK” to confirm this change. Then press “OK” to exit the preferences menu. Click the “Import Disc” button in the bottom-right corner of iTunes and the DRM audio will be ripped from the CD, converted to MP3 and saved on your computer. Eject the CD when the ripping process is complete. You have now successfully converted DRM audio to MP3 with freeware.

Using Windows Media Player

Open Windows Media Player by clicking the “Start” button, selecting “Programs” and clicking “Windows Media Player.” Click the “Burn” button inside of Windows Media Player. Drag the DRM audio you would like to convert to MP3 with freeware into the burn list that appears. Then click “Start Burn.” Insert a blank CD-R into your computer for the DRM audio to be burned onto. Click the “Rip Settings” button when the burning process is complete and choose “MP3” from the “Format” section. Click the “Rip CD” button and the DRM audio will be ripped from the CD, converted to MP3 and saved to your computer. Eject the CD when the ripping process is complete.
