PFB files are associated with a type of PostScript Type 1 font used by early versions of Windows. Despite the age of the format, you may find some older PFB fonts to be useful and wish to import them to your Mac. The “.pfb” file type is not native to or recognized by Mac OS X, so it must be converted to a file format that the operating system can understand before it is able to be used with your Mac.
