The Playstation 3 (PS3) plays many video file formats, but it doesn’t support every format. If you want to play a video file on your PS3, it must be encoded in a format the PS3 reads. There are a number of video conversion programs available that convert video files to PS3-supported formats. Xvid4PSP, tsMuxeR and MP4 Converter are three options.
