Most HP laptops today are able to interface with wireless devices, including your cell phone, router and modem. To accomplish this, you’ll need to first enable your wireless LAN through a touch-sensitive button, available on the body of the HP laptop. For instance, on the HP Pavilion dv7 notebook PC, this button resembles a blue signal-emitting tower when lit, and it occupies the right-most section of the keyboard panel under the laptop screen. When your wireless LAN is enabled, you have the option to enable or disable individual wireless devices for the HP laptop. This task is accomplished by the HP Wireless Assistant application.
