Connect your old hard drive to your computer. If this is an external hard drive, plug it into one of the USB ports. Alternatively, if the hard drive is not external, open your computer’s case and connect it via an IDE or SATA cable. Click the Start button, type “Computer” and select “Computer” from the list of results. Navigate to the user folder on the old hard drive’s partition where the operating system is installed. If the hard drive has Windows XP installed on it, this folder is located under “Documents and Settings\username.” If Windows 7 or Windows 8 is installed instead, the user folder can be found under “Users\username,” where “username” is the name of the Windows account. Navigate to “AppData\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles,” click the profile folder found in this location and press “Ctrl-C.” Type “%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" in the search bar of the Windows File Manager and press “Enter” to access the location where Firefox profiles are stored in your Windows 7 installation. Press “Ctrl-V” to transfer the old Firefox profile settings to your new account. Writer Bio
