Go to Google Maps and locate the search bar at the top of the page. You can search maps by address or landmark. Enter the location address or landmark you want to obtain geographic coordinates for in the search bar. Click “Search Maps” after you enter the location. The location will be displayed in a map. Center the map if needed. If you want to find the coordinates for a place on a map near the location or landmark you searched for, right-click over that spot on the map and select “Center map here” from the list of options. Look at the map options located over the map types to the right of the page. Click “Link” from the options. A URL will be displayed that contains the coordinates. Locate the coordinates in the link. The coordinates follow the location. For example, if you searched for the Statue of Liberty, the link would include parameters like: &ll=40.695152,-74.044676 Write down the coordinates in the link.
