Logitech wireless mice require replaceable batteries to power the optical or laser sensor and establish a connection to the wireless receiver. Depending on the Logitech model, the mouse may require one or two “AA” batteries that are inserted through the top or bottom of the mouse. Examining the mouse will determine which type you have. Top-loading mice have a release button on the underside of the mouse, which is absent in bottom-loading mice.
