The iPhone provides a way to sort your Contacts into Groups, or a list view, that shows all your contacts on the iPhone. The Groups option only appears if you have first created a group on your Mac or Windows computer. On a Mac, you can create groups using Contacts. On Windows, you can use Outlook to create Contact Groups that then appear on the iPhone when synced.
