Click “Customize” on your Tumblr dashboard to access your theme settings; click “Edit HTML” to view the theme’s code. Press “Ctrl-F” to bring up the search field at the top of the code. Enter “{block:Date}” (without the quotes) into the search field. Tumblr takes you to the first block of HTML code used to display dates. The block begins with {block:Date} and ends with {/block:Date}; it may take up several lines. Insert “” after {/block:Date}.. These elements mark the enclosed code as comments, disabling its functionality while keeping it intact should you change your mind later. The final code should look like:
Search again for “{block:Date}”. If you find another occurrence, repeat the previous step. You may have to do this several times on some themes. Click “Save” when done.
