Updated February 10, 2017 Navigate to xs4all.nl and attempt to use the master passwords contained therein (see Resources below). These are BIOS passwords built into the system that can be used by technicians and other service personnel when working on an otherwise locked computer. Contact Gateway and speak to a customer service representative about obtaining a master password for your particular model if none of the passwords in Step 1 work (see Resources below). Open your computer case using a Phillips screwdriver (or no screwdriver at all if you have a case that supports screwless entry). Look in your operating manual for the location of the BIOS chip on the motherboard. Remove this chip by gently wedging the screwdriver beneath it and prying it off the motherboard. Wait five minutes and place the chip back into position on the motherboard. This will reset the memory, removing the password and allowing you access to your computer. Writer Bio
