Unlock Your Windows Live Account
If your Windows Live account was blocked due to suspected fraudulent activity, log in with your current username and password, and follow the on-screen prompts to unblock the account. If your account is locked because you’ve entered your password incorrectly a number of times, click on the “Can’t Access Your Account?” link from the login screen. You’ll need to enter your email address and type in the displayed verification code to proceed. If you have a mobile phone, you can opt to have Microsoft send you a code on the device to enter that will unlock your account.
Other Unlocking Options
If you don’t have access to a mobile phone or the number listed on your account, you can fill out a form to verify that the account is yours. The form will ask for your name, date of birth, country, security questions, passwords you’ve used in the past, subjects of recently sent emails, folder names you’ve created and the billing information on file. Enter as much information as you can and click “Submit” at the bottom of the screen. If you’ve entered the information correctly, Microsoft will respond within 24 hours with instructions to unlock the account. Writer Bio
