USB Connection

Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to the Cyber-shot’s USB port, which is typically on the underside of the camera or in the battery compartment. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer’s USB port. Click “Open Folder to View Files” from the AutoPlay window. Locate the photos your wish to upload to your computer. The photos will be in a DCIM folder, but the exact name of the subfolder may differ on your model. Drag and drop photos to another location on your computer’s hard drive. Alternatively, select files, press “Ctrl-C” to copy them, navigate to the upload location and press “Ctrl-V” to paste them. Click the USB icon in the Windows notification area and choose to eject the Cyber-shot camera. If the USB icon is not visible, click the arrow next to the notification area to view hidden icons.

Memory Card

Slide open the Cyber-shot’s battery compartment and press the memory card to eject it. Insert the memory card into your computer’s card reader. Click “Import Pictures and Videos” in the AutoPlay window. Enter a descriptive tag and click “Import” to automatically upload photos to your Windows Pictures library. Click the USB icon in the Windows notification area and choose to eject the memory card. Writer Bio
