Launch Instagram on your phone and, if prompted, sign in to your Instagram account. Tap the News icon in the main menu of the app. This icon has a graphic of a speech bubble with a heart silhouette in the center. Tap the “You” tab to view all of your recent mentions interspersed with the most recent likes and comments on your photos. If a user has an account set to private and mentions you in a photo, you won’t be able to see the mention unless the user has approved you as a follower. Writer Bio
