HP introduced the Compaq Presario C500 line of notebook computers in 2007. The line consists of several dozen models, and specifications vary slightly from one model to the next. In general, the Presario C500 was marketed as an affordable low- to mid-range budget notebook. Systems include the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and a one-year warranty on all hardware.
