The Consumer Electronics Association has designated seven zones for HDTV Antennas. A zone describes the television reception conditions in a particular geographical location with respect to a particular source. For example, the reception conditions will be much better from a neighboring transmitting system than a station that is broadcasting farther away. Each zone requires a different type of outdoor antenna to pick up broadcasts. Writer Bio
